Dr. Christy Cline | Licensed Phoenix Acupuncturists and Naturopathic Physician

Having studied in both the United States and Asia, I consider myself an integrative physician because I have an extensive background in both Eastern and Western approaches to medicine. I began training in Eastern medicine while I was living in Asia. I had the opportunity of studying Tibetan Medicine during my last year of undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. I feel that my trip to Asia solidified my belief in bringing different aspects of medicine together. When I returned to the states, I believe that it was my strong belief in natural medicine that drew me to Bastyr University, which is one of the world’s top schools for integrative medicine. It was here that I earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Acupuncture.
Chinese medicine practitioners have been using holistic alternative medicine, such as acupuncture, to prevent and treat many illnesses for thousands of years. I was intrigued by this holistic approach to health care so after I graduated from Bastyr University, I pursued more training in China at the Chengdu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. I credit my expertise in stroke rehabilitation, pain management, arthritis and paralysis to my extensive training in China. I am also very well versed in acupuncture for back pain, acupuncture for migraines, and acupuncture for many other ailments.
Throughout her studies she was fortunate to have trained with specialists in the fields of cancer, HIV, hepatitis, women’s health, family medicine, weight loss, and Chinese medicine. Having had the opportunity to work with allopathic and holistic doctors, Dr. Christy Cline has formed a very unique background in integrative medicine.
As one of the naturopathic physicians at Southwest Integrative Medicine, I continue to practice acupuncture alternative medicine services through one- on-one appointments and community acupuncture.
